Pool Hours:
The pool is open for the 2008 season.

Summer Hours

Mon - Fri
11:30am - 9pm
Sat - Sun
11:00am - 9pm

The pool will close early on labor day. All other events for which the pool will close early have completed for the season - the pool will still close for Thunder or lightning in the area.

Please note: If Fairfax County issues a severe warning for storms, the pool will close. If the storm arrives too quickly, people to wait in the upstairs clubhouse room for the storm to pass, especially walkers. They can call for a ride from the building.

Upcoming Social Events:

Crab Feast or Pig Roast - August 31
We will be having a feast, the last Sunday night of the pool season. It will either be a Crab Feast or a traditional pig roast (with hotdogs for the kids) depending on prices - we want to keep it affordable. Pricing will be posted on the web site the week of August 4. Please plan on joining us at 5:00pm to wind down the season.

Annual Meeting - October 20 @7pm
Our annual meeting of members will take place on October 20 at 7pm in the clubhouse main room. We will be discussing the budget for 2009, season dues for 2009, a review of 2008, the new pool management contract, activities for the next year, installing new board members and any additional items of interest of the members. Please plan on joining us! Please contact the President if you are interested in participating on the board for a 2009-2011 session. Because we have had so many board members stay across sessions, some sessions may last only 2 years to re-align with a third of the board turnover each year.

Brookfield Mission Statement

To provide a fun, friendly, family oriented atmosphere that promotes the club members' general health and welfare.

Goals:

Maintain a full membership

Provide safe and current facilities

Provide the resources for a vibrant and dynamic swim team environment that promotes competition and a fun team atmosphere.

Provide a variety of social events for all age groups.

Maintain the capital reserve fund at a level to respond to any immediate expense.

Clubhouse Rentals - contact the social director to reserve the clubhouse.

Decorative Brick Fundraiser - We need volunteers to lay in the decorative brick walkway. All bricks are now at the pool and we are currently planning the laying out of the new walkway. A date has not yet been assigned to the effort, but preferrably not the hottest day of the year. <grin> Please contact the pool administrator if you are interested in participating.

Annual Mailers:
A reminder for the second payment of the special assessment and a reminder to pay the 2009 dues will be available at the pool in August. We will mail out the annual mailers in November of 2009. If you do not receive your mailer, please contact the Membership director.
